HAVE YOU SEEN MY PANTS?

Have you seen my pants?
I can’t find them anywhere.
You know the ones mean;
The corduroys I like to wear.

I’ve looked in the closet
Where they ought to be.
Everything else is hanging there
But the cords I’ve yet to see.

I’ve searched among my shirts
And my coats and jackets too.
On the floor, behind the door;
I don’t know what else to do.

Blue, brown, gray and tan,
All of these colors I see.
Solids, stripes and checks -.
None of these will suit me.

I want my cords on this day!
Nothing else will do.
But darned if I can find them.
I am totally without a clue.

The last time I wore them,
As best I can remember
Was on my trip to Michigan
Last year in December.

Oh, my gosh! Is it possible
I didn’t bring them back
But left them in some motel
Hanging on a rack!

I know I didn’t wear them home,
They weren’t suitable for the flight,
So maybe when I packed my bag
It was one pair of trousers too light.

I'll keep on looking in the house
Just in case I'm wrong.
I suppose it’s just as we11,
They really were too long.
