Well, I said. Here’s the way I do it.
I just start at the top
And go clear to the end.
That’s always a good place to stop.
That's all well and good
And makes a lot of sense.
But what could I write about
That wouldn’t sound too dense?
My golly, molly.
It makes no never mind.
Whatever you think about
Words for it you’ll fmd.
Today is a rainy day.
So write about the rain.
Or about the trip you took
Last year on the train.
Write about the pet you love
Cat, dog, bird or fish.
Or you could even
Tell about a broken dish.
You see, it makes no difference
What subject you select.
Some will think you very bright;
Others will believe otherwise, I bet.
Well, 1 think I see what you mean
But what about the words I use?
You know, the rhymes for the lines,
Do I have to do these by twos?
Shucks, rhymes you don’t even need
But for me that’s most of the fun.
Trying to find a good word
That sounds like son-of-a-gun.
I’m sorry, but I have to leave.
For yourself you’ll have to fend.
