HERE'S A RITIN FRUM

For JULY 2007

Hi, evrybudy!

This is Old Bear ritin 2 u agin and I've been on another trip since the last tyme I did a ritin.

The trip we went on this tyme wus jist 4 one day and wus kalled "HORSING AROUND". It wus kalled that cus we went to 3 ranches where they do sumpn kalled breedin horses. On the way to the first ranch Mr. Byron who wus leadin us told how cum this particular part of Texus wus lyke Kentucky and a reel gud place to breed horses. It is cus the dirt is speshul and jist rite for horses to live on.

The first ranch we went 2 was Reata Ranch and wat they did there wus breed show horses.

.

Here's a pitcher of a young horse wearin a special collar thing to make his neck look real slim.

.

The man at the ranch sed that this wus kalled "sweating" the horse. I didn't understand it very gud but after the horse was real sweaty from duin some work out they put this collar thing on him for two hours and let him sweat. The horse is tied so he can't move very far. Then after 2 hours this collar thing is took off and he is rubbed down real gud. It duz sumpn to the horse's neck.

After visiting Reata Ranch we went to the little town of Tioga to eat our lunch.

Tioga is where Gene Autry wus borned sew we had to go to the Gene Autry museum before getting lunch. This isn't really Gene Autry in this picture standin with me and my man but jist a big picture of him playin his guitar.

Maybe you member one other time I got my pitcher took with a pitcher of Mr. President Bush the same way. Anyway, the museum was pretty interestin and the lady who told us about Gene Autry new a hole lot about him and sed that her mother had been his girl friend for a pretty long time.

After we were thru lukin in the museum we went to wear we were goin to eat lunch, at a place called CLARK'S OUTPOST.

It shure wusn't a fancy lukin place but it wus reely crowded. I guess peoples had cum frum all over to eat there cus it is reel famous for it's barbecue. They serve it in wat is kalled family style and that means they bring big plates of diffurnt foods and a persun kan take as much as he wants. They brought beef and pork barbecue, cole slaw, beans, potato salad, sliced onion and pickle and what ever peoples wanted to drink. For dessert there wus chocolate pie with meringue on top and if you can see it in this pitcher the meringue stood way up high.

My man sed that the pie wus reely gud but he still likes apple or peach a lot better. But evrybudy seemed to like their barbecue lunch.

We went to two more ranches after lunch. The Valor ranch was really, really pretty and it wus here that they did breeding for race horses and sum that they showed us were real famous and had won a lot of money running races.

The last place we went to was the JEH Stallion Station and wat they did here wus breed cutting horses. I don't understand big wurds very well but I heard the guide man talking about sumpn kalled artificial seminatin and that's how they did it there and the daddy horse could be at the ranch and the momma horse in maybe California. I guess that makes sense, but I didn't understand it very well.

It wus a gud trip and we got back home before it rained on us.

Note: If you have a sound card but didn't hear music it is probably because you do not have the appropriate MIDI plug ins. Download Crescendo from www.liveupdate.com.
