Hi, evrybudy How du U lyke this pitcher of me and my man standing outside the DAR house durin the State Fare of Texus. The pitcher wus tuk by Miss Dorothy Bruce who is wat is called the Regent (that`s sort of a queen) of the "Jane Douglas Chapter NSDAR". The blue ribbun I'm wearin is the one I wus give by the Fare Peples a few years ago 4 bein the best bear of all in a competishun.

Why me and my man were there wus cus we were both working in the DAR house. We went there 2 wurk 2 days and had purty portant jobs, too. My man sold wat is kalled raffle tikets 4 a dollur a peace or 6 for 5 dollurs cept he kept forgettin and tried to sell 5 for 6 dollurs. Anyway, peples who bought raffle tikets had a chance 2 win a stuffed rabbit doll or a first lady doll or a diffurnt kind of doll or a map of wut Texus luked lyke back in real old timey days. My man didn`t think he did very gud at selling but Miss Dorothy and the other ladies who wurked there thot he did purty gud.

Wat I got 2 do at the DAR house was say "howdy" 2 the peples who came in to luk at all the histerical artifacts lyke Miss Dolly Madison's shawl thing that she wore a long tyme ago. This year at the Fare there wus a speshul zibit honorin the peples who were soljers and sailors in the Korean war and you kan see frum this pitcher (Miss Dorothy tuk it, too) that part of my job was sayin howdy to those who kum 2 sign the book of honor.

It wus purty much fun wurkin 4 the Daughters of the American Revolution cus there were lots of nyce Daughters there who lyked me purty gud.

Miss Dorothy has alredy sed she wuld be happy if me and my man kum bak to wurk next year and we kan kum bak to C them anytime even if we don`t wurk.

After we got through wurkin 2 days for the "Jane Douglas Chapter NSDAR" we tuk a trip to what is kalled the Hudson River Valley. On the day of the trip we had 2 get up reel early cus Mr. David, who drives a taxi cab, wus coming 2 get us about 6 wen it wus still reel dark. Mr. David tuk us 2 a big church wear all of us goin on the trip were 2 meet. There were almost 40 peoples who got on the big bus wen it cum abowt 7 am and it wus still dark. The bus tuk us 2 the airport wear we got on the Delta airplayne to fly to Newark, a town in New Jersey. The airplayne driver rote down for me how many miles it wus from Dallas to Newark and he rote down 1238 nm which means nautical miles. My man looked it up and sed that a nm was 6076.115 feet so that meant that we flew about about 1400 rm (real miles) 2 get to Newark and it wus abowt the same number of nm cumin bak. When we got to the Newark Airport we got on another bus that we would ride for all the tyme we were trippin and got tuk 2 the real nice hotel near Tarrytown, NY. Then the next day we started duin tour stuff. Here is the tinerary of this trip. You can see pitchers that myn man tuk of sum of the places jist by clickin on the date.

Well, my man and evrybudy cept me got 2 du all those things. And I wus purty disappointed 2. Wen we got on our bus in Newark a nice lady named Miss Evelyn frum New York got on with us. She wus the persun who wus going 2 take us to all the places on the tinerary and tell us abowt histry stuff and things like that. Well, wen we got 2 the first tinerary place, KyKuit, before we got off the bus Miss Evelyn frum New York told us that they were real partickular in this fancy house abowt things getting broken so nobody culd bring boxes or bags or stuff like that into the house and she thot maybe I shuld stay in the bus cus my man wuld have 2 carry me and I guess she thot I wuld be like a bag or a box. Well, I wus purty unhappy abowt this cus I've been to places like the Alhambra and the Prado Museum and House on the Rock and Mr. Elvis Presleys house and the Alamo and never broke nuthin. And I culd tell that my man wus purty unhappy, 2, but we didn't want 2 start no argyoument so we didn't say nuthin but I jist stayed in the bus.

Miss Evelyn frum New York sed sumpn similar wen we went 2 another big manshun house so I jist decided that I wuldn't go to none of these big houses. My man told me all abowt what he saw and he sed that they were purty fancy houses but he wuldn't want 2 live in one cus he mite break sumpn. He said that the house named Sunnyside wear Mr. Washington Irving lived wuld have been a gud place to live cus there wusn't much there to break.

So, I didn't have a very gud tyme touring on this trip but the seenery sure wus purty and the peoples on the trip were real nice and one nyce lady, Miss Jeri, held me on the bus and carried me places that I wus allowed to go.

Well, it is always fun 2 go on a trip with gud frends and meet new frends so even if I wus disappointed at wat I didn't get 2 du I'm shur glad I got 2 go 2 see the Hudson River Valley place. And Miss Evelyn frum New York shure did a gud job of tellin us histerical things abowt wear we were goin. Sew I didn't stay mad at her very long.

It's Christmus tyme alredy and I sure hope all of you have a gud tyme and Sandy Claws cums 2 ur house and brings u sum gud presents My man keeps saying 'bah, humbug' but he did the pickin out of the musik u r hearin so I think maybe he is jist foolin about the bah, humbug stuff.
