HERE'S A RITIN FRUM

For NOVEMBER 2006


Hi, evrybudy!

This is Old Bear ritin 2 u agin 4 the Novembur magazine. Halloween hasn't cum yet but wen it duz my man is redy with a big bag of kandy 2 give 2 the little kids that cum and go Twick or Tweat. He sed he hopes not many kiddos kum this year sew he kan eat the kandy himself.

I wus tryin to think up a gud idea for this ritin and my man sugjested that I tell u about how I get pins or badges whenever I go sumplayce and show U sum of them. I thot that wus a purty gud idea but didn't know how 2 show U wat they looked lyke. sew he did sumpn kalled skannin to get pitchers of the badges that I keep on my leather vest and then I figgered out how 2 rite the wurds abowt them.

I kall these my memry badges cus they help me member wear I wus wen I got them.

#1. Bureau of Engraving and Printing. That badge cum frum the Unity States mint in Ft. Worth, Texus that is the playce where they make lots and lots of money.

#2 is what is kalled a replica of a Texus Ranger badge. I got this last year when I wus wurking for the DAR ladies at the State Fare of Texus.

#3 is a little banjo and the man who makes these pins give it 2 me when I wus in Fenix Arizona for the Banjo Band Blast earlier this year.

#4 cum frum Crawford, Texus wen I went there 2 C Mr. Presidunt Bushes ranch that is kalled the Western White House.

#5 shows an old timey Southern Plantation house on Jekyl Island that is purty close to Savannah in Georgia. I had a reel gud tyme there.

#6 I got it just a few weeks ago when I went to Little Rock in Arkansas. Member how I told you we stopped in Hope, Arkansas to see where Mr. President Clinton had lived? That's when I got the pin.

#7 says Oak Alley on it. My man bought it 4 me wen we went 2 New Orleans before it got flooded and went on a tour to see an old timey plantation house.

#8 is one of my favorites cus wen I wus in Sedona Canyon, jist outside Tooson Arizona it wus give to me by a real Forest Ranger who wus wearing a hat like Smoky Bear.

#9 My man got this pin wen he went with sum friends to SMU for a football game. He sed I culd have it cus it says SMU on it. In the middle of the pin is a red horse runnin real fast. My man sed it wus supposed to be SMU's mustang mascot.

#10 is red, white and blu and has got an eagle on it. It says Wiliam Clinton Presidential Center on it and I got it wen we went to Little Rock. I rote about that trip and seein Mr. President Clinton's library.

I have a hole lot more pins frum places my man has taken me and I keep them on my overcoat and a sweater and sum are jist loose in a drawer. Sometime I'll ask my man to du sum more scanning sew I can write about wear they cum frum. Sumtymes I forget wear I got one of the badges but my man usually members real gud. Sew he will help me du a ritin.
