Hi, evrybudy!
This is Old Bear ritin 2 u agin and gis wat! Do U member wen last month I wus sayin how dispointed I wus cus we
weren't goin 2 Little Rock 2 C Mr. President Clinton's Library? Well, sumbudy told us about Miss Patti who did trips
and she wus goin to have one we culd go on. Sew we did. And it wus purty much fun, too.
Now I'll tell u wat we did on this trip. Me and my man got up reel early on Saturday morning and got all redy to
go. Then Miss Elizabeth cum by about 6:30 to pick us up and we went to wear the bus wus to cum and met sum of the peoples
who were waiting. The bus cum purty soon and we all got on and started goin.
Miss Pam wus the dryver lady and Miss Twyla wus wat they call an escort. Evrybudy wus having a gud tyme and
Miss Pam let me sit up by her and watch her drive.
We only stopped once 4 peoples 2 go to the bathroom until we got to Hope, Arkansas.
The little town of Hope wus wear mr. clinton grew up and we went 2 C his house.
It wusn't a fancy house at all and in fact luked purty much like where I lived with my man before we cum to Dallas.
There wus one room of this house that had all kinds of pitchers of Mr. Clinton as he wus growing up and lots of other stuff
like nuspaper ritins about wen he wus made governor of Arkansas and then president of the unity states. Wen we got thru
lookin at wat wus in this house we got back on the bus and started goin 2 Little Rock to C Mr. President Clinton's library.
Wen U c this library building from way off it doesn't luk like much at all - sort of like a big matchbox with windows.
But it shure is purty wear it is near the river and with a big park all around it.
The first thing we did wen we went in this library wus to go to a real big room with nothin in it to listen to
a guide man tell us all abowt it. Maybe I can member sum of wat he sed. Mr. Clinton had to approve ef every thing that
wus dun and he had sum gud ideas. My man sed to be shure and tell U abowt the floors .. They luked like real fancy hardwood
floors like you see in fancy houses but they were made of bamboo, like in fishin poles. Our guide sed that they wus bamboo
cus you can grow a bamboo forest back lyke it wus in maybe three years and it takes really long tymes to grow back other
kinds of wood. He told us that everything abowt the library wus like that - it wus sumpn called environmentaally friendly.
I thought we wuld be seeing lots and lots of books and stuff like in other libraries but we didn't cus most all of them
were in another building right next to this library. He sed the ones in this building were not the important ones.
After we heard this talk we went to see a movie about Mr. Clinton called sumpn lyke Frmm Hope to White House that
wus a purty interesting movie. Then we all went 2 luk wearever we wanted to luk. Part of the library was "serious" and
part of it was about fun stuff lyke gifts he had gotten. There wus even one room filled with pitchers of movie cowboys cus
Mr. Clinton liked to go to cowboy movies wen he wus little.
After seein this library we all went to the hotel wear we were stayin ovrnite and got cleaned up a little bit to go
to dinner. This wus at the MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History. My man told me about it cus I didn't go.
U know I hardly ever eat anything. He sed the dinner wus purty gud but he wusn't 2 excited about the entertainment.
It wus sort of a game 2 C who culd solve a murder mystery. Everybudy wus put in a team then the team had to go through the
museum lukin 4 clues. My man sed that he wuld have rather seen the museum without the murder mystery game.
The next morning we left Little Rock to go to Hot Springs to see the Garvand Woodland Gardens. This wus a real purty
playce with lots of trees and real purty flowers and it wusn't one of those gardens where things were planted in strait rows.
There wus purty streams and big rocks and just a hole lot of purty things to see. One of the new things that had jist been
built was a woodland church that wus real unusual.
After we saw the Garvand Woodland Gardens we went into Hot Springs to have lunch and go see the bath houses where people go
to take baths in speshul spring water that cums out of the ground. Three of the people with us went to take one of these baths and cum back
with their hair all wet.This speshul water is supposed 2 help make a person real healthy.
We went to explore a bathhouse that wus made into a visitor center and has stuff lyke in the old timey days.
Mostly it wus rich peoples who tuk these baths.
It wus a real gud trip and we got back to Dallus purty late on Sunday nite. Miss Twyla sed she had 2 go to another
job at 11 and wurk all nite. I wus shure glad I didn't have 2 du that.
