HI EVERYBUDY!
This is Old Bear ritin 2 u agin and this tyme I kan tell U about going to Fenix in Arizona
with my man. Why we were goin 2 Fenix wus 2 go to a convenshun of a club that my man started
40 years ago. I wus redy 2 go cus we were goin 2 fly and I like to fly.
Miss Elizabeth tuk us 2 the airport abowt 9 in the morning sew we would have time to go
through the security stuff. This tyme my man put me in a big pan to ride in when I went through
the x-ray machine. It's fun to ride through this machine.
We went thru security pretty fast sew had to wait quite a while until time to get on our
southwest airlines airplane. Here's a pitcher of it that my man tuk wen it wus in it's parking
place.
Once we got goin my man tuk a pitcher of me with the peoples who hand out peanuts and things.
Their pitcher is at the top of this ritin. They give me a big bag full of little bags of peanuts
jist lyke I got wen goin 2 Nu Orleans.
Southwest airlines has a rule that some congressman made sew we can't fly straight to
Fenix but have to stop in Albuquerque in New Mexico and wait for another airplayne. Sew that's
wat we did. We didn't have 2 wait very long sew it wus okay.
When we got to the Fenix airport my man called the hotel wear we were stayin and the
hotel peoples sent what they call a shuttle to pick us up After we got our room we walked to
the place where they were holding the convention. There were a hole lot of peoples doin sumpn
called "registring" but my man had already done thqt so we didn't have to stand in line like
the peoples in this picture.
Mostly we jist walked around for 2 days looking at the model airplanes, tanks, ships and
cars and other stuff that had been brought for a contest. There were over 2000 models that were
in the contest and there were sure sum pretty ones that peoples had made from plastic kits. The
re wus also a room kalled the vendor's room where peoples had brought old model kits and other
stuff 2 sell. We walked around there a lot, to. My man didn't buy anything but he visited
with a lot of people he knew. We also went to some seminars where we learned 2 do sum model
making things. Here are sum pitchers of wat we saw wen walkin around.
On Friday we went with 20 other peoples on a bus trip to Sedona, Sedona is in the Red
Rock country and is very pretty. It is a touristy town and there is not much to do but walk
around and spend money. But it wus fun 2 go up in the mountains to Sedona.
Most everybudy I met in Sedona wus glad 2 meet me cus bears are supposed to be gud luck
sew the store peoples thot maybe I wuld bring them good luck.
Saturday night was the big night at the convenshun cus they had their Awards Banquet.
Me and my man got dressed up for this - you can see that I was wearing my tuxedo - but we
were jist about the only ones wearing dress up clothes.
U know I don' t hardly eat at all but my man sed the banquet had sum real good food and one thing wus barbecued salmon with sum sort of honey flavor to it.
There wuz a hole lot of prizes to be given out and that tuk a long time. So me and my man got sleepy and went back to the hotel before they were through
announcing all the awards.
Comin back to Dallus was harder than goin 2 Fenix cus we didn't have very gud skedules
and had to wait a long time between airplanes. The airplanes were real crowded. Goin bak we
had to stop in Albuquerque and in Anarillo but didn't have to get off the airplayne there.

She was a real gud airplayne driver, too.
We had a gud tyme goin to Fenix but sure were tired when we got home. I had had jist
about enuff flyin 4 the day.
