The musik U R probly hearin is kalled Summer Time and it shure is summer tyme here in Dallus. It is maybe a hunnert or more rite now wen I am riin this 2 U sew I don't go out very much. But it won't be very long B4 it will be getting cold agin.
Well, cus Miss Virginia did such a qwik job of fixin me I got 2 go 2 Armadillo with my man 2 see the pagunt kalled Texus and it sure wus a gud trip. My man sed I culd use up 2 pages of his paper magazine 2 tell peples abowt it but maybe I kan rite more on this online thing.
Here's a pitcher of the big bus we rode on and there were 54 peples ridin on it and
Mr. Ed wus the driver man and Miss Mary wus the tour direktor who give us water and told us
wen we were goin 2 go eat and give us some games to play and made shure no one got losted when
we stopped sum playce. U kan't C them 2 well but there wus big pitcher windows 2 luk out
of and the seats were real comfortuble. Here's a pitcher of sum of the peples that were on the bus with us. I think that pitcher wus taken wen we stopped in a town with a funny name to eat at a playce kalled Dutch's.
Why we wus goin 2 Armadillo wus 2 go 2 another town named Canyon that wus purty close by and go see this pagunt kalled Texus that is purty famus. But we got 2C sum other things 2. One wus sumpn kalled The Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum that is the largest history museum in Texus. There shure are a lot of zibits 2 C in this museum that helps peples understand all abowt how Texus got 2 B Texus but the zibit I lyked best wus the one with the dinosaurs. My man lyked the old timey town bestust. Here's a pitcher of the guard lady at the museum. One guard lady sed that if we got losted and culdn't find our way out jist ask one of the guards how 2 get out. Course that wuldn't work sew gud if u culdn't find a guard persun.

This Pagunt named Texus we went 2 C is held during the summer tyme in a place called Palo Duro Canyon. A canyon is sort of a big hole in the ground. Here's a pitcher of where we had 2 go 2 C this pagunt.
Mr. Ed drove the bus reel careful down this big old hill to the bottom of the Canyon. Wen we got to where the pagunt wus goin 2 B it luked lyke there wus a zillion peples there alredy but that wus okay cus Miss Mary had arranged for sumpn kalled preserved seats 4 all of us. We also got 2 go eat barbecue before the pagunt started. It wus a reel gud meal of sumpn kalled brisket and beans and potato salad and bread and evrybudy tuk their paper plates 2 big picnik tables and jist sat down with anyone after saying Howdy naybor lyke they do here in Texus. Course I don't ever eat but my man sed it wus reel gud cept he got sorta sick frum hiccups lyke he does sumtymes and culdn't eat all his food. He shure did hate 2 throw it away.
There wus sum cowboy peples playin cowboy musik on fiddles while we were eatin the barbecue stuff. It wus sort of toe-tappin musik and lots of peoples were duin sum dancin 2 it. Here's a pitcher of the cowboys duin the playing.
After evrybudy ate up all their barbeku meal we went to our preserved seats in the place where the pagjunt wuld be. Miss Mary had got us reel gud preserved seats so we culd see the stage reel well. Here's a pitcher of what we culd see frum where we were.
It wuldn't B very long before this stage would be filled with singers and dancers and all kinds of fun things. It wus gettin purty dark when Miss Rose who cum with us frum another town tuk a pitcher of me sitting with my man.
The Texus play wus sort of the story of how back in old timey days people kalled pieonears cum 2 Texus 2 live and sum were farmer peples and sum were cow raisin peples. Wen the cow peples got lots of cows they wanted sum of the land the farmer peples had sew the farmer peples put up reel sharp wyre to keep the kows off their land and there were some reel big arguments. And the indian peples kum 2 visit the pieonears 2 C wat they wus duin and one of the portant indian chiefs was a Man named Mr. Quanah Parker and I think it wus in his town we stopped 2 eat. Sew the play wus about things lyke that and how Texus grew and got oil wells and then the trayne kum and the important farmer man and the importunt cow man shook hands and named the new town Henryetta. In between all this play actin there wus men dressed in cowboy outfits and women dressed in reel purty dresses singin and dancin on the stage. Here's a pitcher of the singers and dancers that wus in the ficial ritin that we were give. Mr. Wyman Meinzer tuk it and I shure hope he don't kare if I show it 2 U.

The very end of the show wus reel citin cus big lights shown on cowboys on horses that rode reel fast across the top of the canyon carrying the flags that Texus wus under. There was the Spanish flag and the French Flag and the Confederate flag and the Lone Star flag and the good old USA flag and when that wus karried across the canyon everybudy cheered reel hard and there were lots of fireworks explodin in the air. It shure wus excitin 2 C all this goin on.
Here's a pitcher of me with sum of the dancer peoples I met after the play wus over. They must lern 2 du dancin and singin at the kollege most of them go 2 cus they shure were gud dancers and singers.

The next mornin we all got in the big bus again and went to sumpn kalled a Chuck Wagon Breakfast. Usually all the peples are put in wagons and taken to a ranch and eat out doors but it had been reel rainy sew they culdn't du it this tyme so we ate inside at an activity center in a town named Claude. Here's a little bit of wat Claude luks lyke.

After the chuck wagon breakfast we went to the Gem theater in Claude to hear about how they had fixed it up reel gud and made a museum out of it and then a man named Mr. John kum out on the stage and showed us some of the harmonicas he kan play and then played sum harmonicas 4 us and he wus reel gud 2. I kan't member ever hearin a harmonica before. After the purformunce wus over I told Mr. John how gud he wus and he let my man take his pitcher with me. Kan U C Mr. John's crutches? He wus in a bad car accident and peples thought he wus goin 2 die but he didn't and now he is a preacher and plays the harmonica.

Mr. Ed stopped drivin our big bus two or three tymes at playces wear there wus gud pitcher takin of the canyon. Here's sum that Miss Sally who wus with us tuk with my man's kamera and he sent her copies of all of them cus they were sew gud.

Well, I have sum other pitchers my man tuk but I guess I better not try 2 squeeze them in cus my ritin is pretty small now. But I shure am glad I got 2 go to Armadillo cus I had a reel good tyme. My man sez maybe we kan go on another Dan Dipert tour sumtyme cus it wus purty much fun. He sez there is a playce named Big Bend that he wuld lyke 2 go 2 sumtyme. But he says that trip will have to wait until we go to Boston in Octobur. That is shure going to be fun 2 see where Paul Revere hollered that the British were coming.
