HERE'S A RITIN FRUM

For July, 2005

Hi, Evrybudy!

This is Old Bear ritin 2 U agin and du U know that my uncle Dick who lives in Ioway. will hsve his birthday on the fourth of July. That his wat my man sumtymes calls FIRECRACKER day. Sumtymes my man tells me about wat Firecrqcker Day wus like in the olden times wen he and my uncle Dick were real little. Uncle dick is 3 years younger than my man sew he is littler. You know they didn't have tv or video games or stuff lyke modern childrun have. My man sez that in the old timey days when he was little childrun learned to make du with clothespins or cardboard boxes for toys. I think he wus storying to me cus he's told me other stories about his lectric tryne and his wrektor set and stuff like that.

Here's a pitcher of my man and my Uncle Dick wen they were pretty little and dressed up 4 playin kowboy and injun. Kan U C the guns they are holdin? My man sez they were kalled Pop Guns cus wen the trigger wus pulled sumpn inside would go "POP". He sed he didn't lyke that kind cus he members that it wus purty hard to pull the trigger.

Member a cuple of months ago my man printed for me the story that was in the Startext nuspaper about me goin to the Fair? In that story I told about Mr. Chuck and Miss Terri and Gradate Bear. Well, Mr. chuck wrote me a nyce e-mail letter and I'm goin 2 let u reed it. Here it is:

Hi OB, Miss Terry and I haven’t written in a long time, we’re sorry about that. It seems like there are times when we forget to pay attention to some of the more important tasks in life, like staying in touch with friends.

We want to tell you that we always read your “ritings” the first thing with DDN arrives in our mailbox. We also read all the other articles too, but your “ritings” come first. Miss Terry says HI. Graduate Bear also says Hi. Sometimes we read your ritings out loud so Graduate Bear came hear what’s been going on with your and your man.

A while back Graduate Bear sure did like hearing your man talk about how OB and GB met and Miss Terry yelling out to you while we were at the State Fair of Texas. Those are some real fond memories.

Not much new has been going on with Miss Terry and Mr. Chuck. We have been doing a lot of camping outdoors. We used to have what is called a popup tent camper, but now we have a 32’ travel trailer. In the trailer are two special bears, “Mr. & Mrs. Camping Bear” and “Adventure Bear.” You can read about and see pictures of our new trailer at: Http://www.web-connection.org.

On the Daingerfield trip page, there is a picture of us on the sofa with our Bear friends behind us. They live in the trailer all the time.

Take care and keep up your wonderful ritings. Miss Terry and I sure do enjoy reading about all your adventures.

Wusn't that a gud ritin that Mr. Chuck sent to me? Here's 2 pitchers of their new house on wheels.

My man sed he stayed the nite one tyme in one of those things and it wus abowt as big as wear we live. It must be nyce to live lyke that. Wen u got tired of wear you were u culd jist start up your motor and drive somewear else.

Me and my man haven't been anywhere since we went to the Chandor gardens but we are going on the mystry trip purty soon. There are always clues to wear we are going and this time one clue says sumpn about monkeys. I don't think we R goin to the zoo to see monkeys. I member wen we were in Gibraltar we saw lots of big monkies and we had to be careful cus they all wanted food from us. That wus fun but Gibraltar is too far for us to go on jist a day trip. I guess it is kalled a mystery trip cus nobody knws wear we r goin.

Happy Birthday Uncle Dick!
