HERE'S A RITIN FRUM

For APRIL 2006

Hi, Evrybudy!

This is Old Bear ritin 2 U agin and this tyme I kan tell you about takin a trip to Crawford, Texus which is a real little town but is famus cus Mr. President Bush has his ranch near there and is there wen he is not bein President in the White House in Washington, D.C. That's why it is kalled The Western Whitehouse.

There wus 32 of us that left Dallas about 8:30 on a Thursday morning. Mr. Billie, our driver man, wus going to take us to McGregor where we were going to eat lunch and then we would go on to Crawford. Miss Shirley went with us cus she had dun most of the plannin and wanted 2 C sum of the places too. Here she is tellin us sum things we wuld C.

It wus a reel nyce day 4 takin a trip.

Our furst stop wus in Waco where we went to the Baylor University to visit a museum with a long name. The Sue and Frank Mayborn Natural Science and Cultural History Museum Complex. It had a lot of interesting things 2 C in it. Here is jist a few of them.

The first thing we saw wen we went into the museum was a reel big train layout with about 3 trains goin round the trax and stoppin at difrunt places. It reminded me of the little trains I saw when I wus in chicago at the museum there cept it wus a lot bigger than this one and all of the cars were bigger and there were more trains running. But this little one wus fun to watch.

We watched it 4 a little while before goin with one of the guide ladies to see the rest of the museum. Here are two of the guide ladys who tuk us around after we saw a short movie. The lady on the left is the one who wus our guide lady.

Jist outside the main museum building there is a lot of old timey buildings that have been brought in and restored to be jist lyke the old timey days sew peoples kan see how their grandparents lived back in those days. Here is jist 2 of them.

Inside The Sue and Frank Mayborn Natural Science and Cultural History Museum Complex there wus lots of things with ritin on them and pitchers of hysterical stuff but they also had lots of reel gud zibits lyke this indian teepee and longhorn steer. There wus even a reel-lukin cave that we culd walk thru and learn about stalactights & stalagmites.

In one of the zibit rooms there wus a hole lot of old timey eatin stuff lyke purty dishes and funny lukin nives and 4ks and cups and stuff. One thing that wus reel nyce wus a little table all set up 4 a little gurl to have a t-party.

After we visited the museum we got back on the bus with Mr. Billie and he tuk us to McGregor and then to wear we were goin 2 eat in a house called The Manshun.

I don't eat sew I stayed in the bus and that wus a missteak cus my man sed it wus a reely interestin house with lots and lots of things to see. He tuk sum pitchers of wear they ate lunch and wat he saw.

After I luked at the pitchers my man tuk of the inside of the Manshun I wished I had gone in with him and the other peples sew I culd have seen all the gud things that the owner peple had. I think they call them kollectibles. Here are wat a cuple of rums luked like.

Frum the Mansion we went on to Crawford and picked up a guide lady to show us how to get to the George Bush ranch. It was a purty long way to drive and she told us stories about Mr. Bush comin 2 Crawford and how he wus a reel nyce guy and stuff lyke that. We also got to see the playce where the Secret Service peoples live while they are guarding the President.

This is a pitcher of how close we could get to Mr. Bushes ranch.

The guide lady sed when Mr. Bush is home there are lots of security peoples and we culdn't have got that close. Wen we went back 2 Crawford we stopped so peoples culd buy sum sooveniers and my man bought me a western white house pin. Miss Nita and sum others had their pitchers taken with Mr. Bush. U kan C Miss Nita standin by Mr. Bush in the pitcher at the top of my ritin.

It wus a nyce trip even if we didn't get to see Mr. Bushes ranch. Next tyme I du a ritin I'll tell u abowt our trip to Tucson in Arizona.
