Hi, evrybudy! This is Old Bear duin my ritin 4 March. It is still a February day wen I'm duin this ritin but it is almost lyke summer tyme. That's why I'm wearin my striped shirt that Miss Virginia the doll doctor give me last year when I wus at her house gettin my foots fixed up. I been thinkin that maybe this shirt and my straw hat will be gud 2 wear wen me and my man r on the Costa Del Sol in September. Of course, I'm going to take my new red and wite sweater & cap that Miss Elizabeth nitted 4 me jist in case it gets kold.

Du U member how the last tyme I did a ritin I told U how my man had been havin sum problums with his stumuk and had to go get sum pitchers taken? Well, he's been seein sum other doktur peples cus maybe he mite have sum more problums. Wen he got hooked up 2 a machine that draws a pitcher of wat a heart is duin his pitcher cum out with sum squiggly marks or bumps that the doctor man didn't lyke very much. Sew my man got sent off to a speshulist doctor man 4 sumpn kalled a stress test and right off my man didn't du very gud on it sew he had 2 go bak 2 du another one cept this time they planted him with sum kind of seed and made him lay on his back and take lots of pitchers while the seed wus goin playces insyde him and then stuck him with a bigger needle and put some chemistry stuff in him and then tuk sum more pitchers of another seed going thru him. He sed it tuk a purty long tyme but didn't hurt at all and wus sort of interestin wat wus goin on and he wus promised he wuldn't shine in the dark. My man sez that if he doesn't have heart trubles now he will wen he gets the bill for all that pitcher takin stuff.
My man had 2 go a purty long way on a bus 2 this see this speshulist doctor man and he sez the furst time he went he was reel barrased cus wen he left the building he got on the wrong street and waited and waited a long time for a bus 2 kum and finally a nyce man kum by and sed if U r waitin 4 a bus U shure are goin 2 wait a long tyme cus one don't kum cept in wat is kalled the rush hour. Well, the man pointed 2 wear my man wus supposed 2 go and my man felt real barrassed cus he had gone out the wrong door of the big building and got sort of losted cept he will never admit 2 that. He wus only about 1 block frum wear he shuld have been waitin 4 a bus.
The second tyme he went 2 that doctor man he new jist how 2 get out of the building sew didn't get losted again. On his way out he stopped to talk to a nyce volunteer lady who was sellin popcorn 4 a dollar a box. My man wus purty hungry cus he didn't get hardly any lunch but he didn't want a hole box of popcorn sew the volunteer lady sold him a little bag full for jist fifty cents.
This volunteer lady sed that all the prophets frum selling popcorn in this building go for sumpn kalled skolarships for people who want to be nurses and doktors. She told my man that last year they had sold enuf popcorn 2 give away 17 one thousand dollar skolarships. My man thot that wus purty gud and later sort of wished he had bot a dollar box of popcorn. He ate his bag of popcorn wile waitin 4 his bus 2 kum.
It tuk a purty long tyme for the doktor peples 2 tell my man wut had happened and he wus sort of wurryin and crossed his fingers 2 get gud luk but then the heart doktor man kalled and sed everything wus okay cept it luked lyke maybe my man did sumpn kalled had a hart attak a long tyme ago. And the other docktor man kalled and sed all the other testin things were okay. So my man uncrossed his fingers.
Well, now that my man nose he don't have to go 2 the hospitul 2 du sumpn abowt his heart he is makin plans 4 us 2 go places besides Spain. The firstust thing he did is sign us up 2 go 2 one of those Elderhostel things like we did in Alaska cept this time it will be in June 4 a week in a museum in Chikago. My man has been there 2 tymes and sez it is a reel fun museum cus it has sum reel airplanes hanging frum the ceilin and a German submarine parked in the yard and a Zephyr train in the basement and a coal mine and lots of buttons to push and a big lectric train to watch and lots and lots of other things 2 C and du.
My man sez we will go 2 Chikago on the train and then go to Kewanee to visit my gramma and aunt Mary 4 a few days and then go back 2 Chikago 4 the museum thing and then maybe stop off and see Mr. Paul and Miss Pat on the way home. He sez that plannin trips is fun but sumtymes U jist kan't du everything U want 2 du.
He sez another trip we probly will take in May is 2 a big town named fillydelfia 4 a few days with sum peples who lyke 2 take 2ers. He sez there is sumpn there kalled the liberty bell that has a big crack in it that he wuld lyke 2 C. I asked him how cum the peples in fillydelfia keep this bell if it is busted; my man sed it wus a real histerical bell.
