HERE'S A RITIN FRUM

For January 2002

Hi, evrybudy! This is Old Bear ritin 2 U agin for January 2002 and guess wat? My man forgot all abowt me doin my ritin and filled up all the ritin space with other ritins. Sew he sed he wuld du 2 xtra pages this month just 4 me even if it is goin 2 cost him sum more money. He sed he guessed it wuld be okay since he didn't du a magazine 4 Decembur. He wuld kall them bonus pages and that means sumpn extra you didn't xpect.

Well, lyke I sed we wuld we went to Ilnoyze 2 C my aunt Mary and my Uncle Jerry and my gramma who lives in a nursin home It`s a purty long trip on the Amtrak train. The pitcher at the top is wen we were stopped in St. Louis. We left here on a Saturday afternoon and didn`t get to where my aunt Mary lives until Sunday night. It wus purty much fun on the train but wen we got to Chikago we had a purty long wait in the train station for the train to wear my Aunt and Uncle live. But the waitin time went purty fast cus we met a real nice young girl who wus goin 2 the same skool my man went 2 a long time ago. Sew he had a gud tyme tellin her stories about things that happened at that skool wen he wus there, before she wus borned. And she told him all abowt how things had changed like the library where my man had wurked was now 3 floors high instead of just one. This is the same skool my Aunt Hessie is goin 2 but she goes to sumpn kalled a difrunt kampus. Before we knew it it wus tyme to get on the other train and Miss Mona wus goin to be on it too. Sew she and my man and and another man and sum kollege kids talked some more.

Wen it wus almost tyme 4 us to get off the train we went up between two kars where the konductor man wuld cum let us off. My man waved to Miss Mona and she waved back to him. Then, all of a sudden a lady who wus in a hurry cum frum one car to the other and accidentally bumped into my man. Miss Mona saw wut happened and thot my man had been knocked down and cum running through the train car 2 C if he needed help. He shure thot that wus nyce of her to do that.

We stayed with Aunt Mary and Uncle Jerry in their new house which is real nice. Uncle Jerry had sumpn kalled a stroke maybe 3 years ago and still can`t du much usin of his left arm or his left leg but can walk sum with sumbudy helpin him. That sure is better than when we visited the last time. Here`s a pitcher of me sittin with my uncle Jerry.

I only went 2 C my gramma one time but my man went every day 2 visit for a while and 2 or 3 times ate lunch with her. One time my aunt Hessie wus there 2. My man shure is proud of my Aunt Hessie cus she has been wurkin real hard to be a skool teacher and is almost redy to gradulate frum the same skool my man went 2.

Well, on one of the visits 2 wear my gramma lives there was a clown lady making animals and other things out of balloons and she made a crown for my man and then made a sword for him and one for her and they had a sword fight right in front of all the others who were watchin and laffing. Here's the pitcher of them sword fitin. Later on my man did a sword fite with one of the ladies who wus in a wheel chair. He sed that shure wus fun cept the lady in the wheel chair beet him purty bad.

Here's a pitcher of my man sittin with my gramma and watchin the clown lady do funny things. My gramma wus jist abut 94 when this pitcher wus tuk. She had a birthday on Decembur 1.

Here is a pitcher of me talkin 2 one of the nurse ladies who helps take care of my gramma and lots of other peoples who live where my gramma does. They sure are nice peoples who work there.

Well, wen it wus tyme to leave frum visitin my gramma and my Aunt Mary and my Uncle Jerry we got back on the train to Chicago purty early in the mornin and this time had a real, real long tyme to wait in Chickago cus the train to where Samantha, my bestust frend lives, wusn't until supper time. Sew we did sum walkin around downtown Chikago and ate our lunch but mostly jus sat in the train station and didn't meet no one interestin 2 talk to. But it wus finally tyme for the train to go.

Miss Pat and Mr. Paul who are Samanthas momma and daddy met us wen we got off the train in their town and we all went out to dinner and talked a lot and then they tuks us to the hotel where we were going to stay. Here's a pitcher of me waitin 4 the desk man 2 cum. It wus a real nice hotel and my man sed maybe we shuld stay there more than one nite cus it wus so nice. Course we didn't cus we were expected 2 B in Dallas on a certain day. Here's wut our rum luked lyke wen we were packed up and ready 2 leave.

This wus on a Saturday wen we got to Samantha's town. Course Samantha wus not home cus she wus busy being a skool teacher in Indiana and her sister Carolyn wus goin 2 skool in Indiana.

Well, on Suday morning Miss Pat and Mr. Paul cum to get us and we went to a restaurant place that had good bagels and good coffee and good tea and my man bought some funny tastin tea to bring home 2 his frend Miss Elizabeth who drinks tea all the time. (She sed it wus reel gud.)

After eatin the bagels we went back to where Miss Pat and Mr. Paul live and we just visited and talked about lots of things. Of course my man tuk a picher of me and Shelby and Miss Pat and Mr. Paul. He tuk two but one turned out real funny lukin cus Mr. Paul wusn't redy 2 get his pitcher taken.

Before it got 2 B train tyme Miss Pat made us a real gud dinner, and Mr. Paul helped. After we ate that it wus tyme to go to the station and wait 4 the train that wus purty late. It wus dark tyme wen it cum. We said gudbye to our gud frends and rode all the way back to Dallas.

We got big news from Samantha before we left to visit her momma and daddy. She told us that she is getting married in July. She is marrying a man named Mr. Andy and this is a pitcher of them taken wen they were getting out of high school. I may get 2 go to the weddin but I got to find sumbudy who will make me sum new clothes. I don't have anything nice enuf 2 wear to a weddin. I shure hope I get to go and I hope Samantha stays my bestust frend after she marries Mr. Andy.
